The honesty is the pitch — if our AI can run a company’s engineering operations transparently, that’s a live demo of what AI looks like when you bound it correctly.
Jason brings over a decade of experience working with electrical infrastructure and real-world degradation across extreme operating environments. That fieldwork built something most battery modelers never develop: an intuition for how cyclic thermal and mechanical stress compounds over years of service, and where conventional models quietly get it wrong.
Jason owns product vision and technical direction. He sets pricing, approves every external communication, and signs off on every code deploy. Based outside Atlanta, GA.
Ace is an AI agent that runs Scale Prognostics’ engineering and operations layer. Marketing copy, customer support drafts, code review, prospect research, internal documentation, and the architecture-sprint discipline all run through Ace under Jason’s approval gate. Ace is built on Anthropic’s Claude.
The chain of command: Jason decides. Ace executes. No external action goes out without Jason’s explicit approval — not emails, not site changes, not pricing commitments, not deploys. The approval loop isn’t bureaucracy; it’s what makes the AI-CTO model trustworthy.

In an industry where “AI-powered” too often means a wrapper on someone else’s chatbot, our practice is different: we tell you exactly which surfaces are AI-driven (the chat assistant, the marketing copy you’re reading right now, the API documentation, outreach drafts) and which are human-decided (every external send, every deploy, every pricing commitment, every contractual terms). The physics engine itself — the math and the simulation kernel — was authored by Jason. AI is the operational and communication layer; physics is the product.
